AFRICA!!

so I found out today that I am going to Africa again in August. I'm going to Moambique and South Africa. I'll be gone for about 14days and my only job is to take photographs. F3B has taken me to Africa twice already, visiting: Niger, Morocco, Liberia, Benin, and Ghana. I am excited to bring some more photographs from Africa into my collection, while gaining the experience of yet another place and culture.

SO now the plan is going to Africa in August then back to the states until late September and then start the Eurotrip, trying to explore as long as possible, hopefully with Kim, maybe a little Alex and staying with Molly in Dublin.

Sitting at Barnes and Noble trying to create a website that can be my portfolio to send to people to show my work so that I might be able to get some work. I need to more proactively search for a job, or some type of sponsorship so that I can make the art that I want to.

Its really nice to just sit around in Barnes and Noble and work on my computer while people watching. Sometimes I wish I drew, that way I could draw the people I saw. Its too weird to whip out a camera in the middle of the store while I've been working. This just makes me realize more that I would really like to be studying people as a part of my work one day. Their style, their presence, their relations.

I have been comtemplating my life, what I have done with it and what I intend to do with it. I question whether I did the right thing at Colgate. Althouhg it is in the past and can not be changed I do sometimes wonder. Maybe I should have been more involved, tried to get that SOAN minor. The wonderful thing about life is that there is still time to learn. Dad and I were talking the other day about taking more classes. Classes to help me specialize in things. The more I think about it, I would to take more Photography classes and possibly sociology courses, and of course i would love to become fluent in one or more additional languages.
